Our IML flow in 10 steps

  1. Request or quote request

Drop by our sales department. Great idea? Together we’ll look at the most suitable IML solution for your product.

  1. We will give you our IML template and guidelines

So your designer can get started right away within the right dimensions.

  1. You provide us with your final design files

Via artwork@deca.be. We check everything carefully.

  • Not quite okay? You’ll get feedback.
  • Perfect? We move on to print proofing.
  1. Order or agree to start prepress costs

Only after your ‘go’ do we start the print proof.

  1. Request proof from prepress IML printer

We keep a sharp eye on everything.

  1. Proof received at DECA

Our specialists check the result in detail.

  • Not good? Back to the printer.
  • Approved? On to you for the final check.
  1. Print proof to you (the customer!)
  • Need adjustments? Prepress gets to work again (corrections are charged).
  • Fully satisfied? We move on to administration.
  1. Order administration

We register your order, request the IML labels, and schedule everything precisely. You immediately receive a preliminary order confirmation with all key details. Once you approve this in writing, labels are ordered and production is scheduled. We’ll notify you as soon as we know the exact production date.

  1. Label production & delivery

IML labels are printed, finished, and delivered right on time.

  1. Production at DECA

Labels are seamlessly integrated into your packaging. Ready to fly out to their new home!

But... why does it sometimes take longer?

We get it: waiting isn’t your favourite thing. A high-quality IML project takes time. Every detail has to be perfect: order registration, design checks, proofs, correction rounds, confirmations, label production, and final integration into your product. The clock starts only after your proof is approved and your order is confirmed.

DECA TPS128 IML

Here’s what to expect:

  • Orders ≥ 100,000 units: 6 to 8 working weeks
  • Orders < 100,000 units: up to 12 working weeks

FYI: printing the labels alone takes about 3 weeks.

We always do everything we can to deliver within these deadlines. But as you know, unexpected issues can’t always be avoided – which is why we’ll always consult with you about what’s possible. One thing is certain: your patience will be rewarded.  At DECA, we go all out to deliver an end result that wraps your product in excellence.

Also good to know: reorders are easy. Want to repeat a previous IML order? No need to go through the full flow again. Your order is registered right away and labels are ordered immediately. Only if there’s a change in the proof, we start the flow again – and smoothly.
